Branding Case Study – Skilling It
Creating a brand that appeals to teens and those who might influence them.
The Problem
With an overburdened education system unable to teach practical skills, and a generation raised on the internet — overexposed but lacking context — a new brand emerged. This startup set out to create a library of authoritative, expert-led content on practical skills, tailored for the audience that needed it most. Imagine TikTok meets MasterClass, designed specifically for Gen Z.
The Program
Our task was to name the business and develop a brand system that would resonate with audiences aged 12 to 24. The challenge was to create a brand identity that met teens and young adults where they are, reflecting their interests, style, and the way they communicate. Every aspect of the brand’s look and feel had to be crafted with intention, delivering relevance, relatability, and value.
The results:
The logo and brand system we created had to work across multiple aesthetics. From investor decks to the website, the fonts, color palette, and animation style tested beautifully with both Gen Z and their parents.
